Overview
TRITEC Asset Management completed the construction of the Stony Brook Children’s Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics facility, located at 181 Belle Mead Road in East Setauket, NY. This project involved the comprehensive renovation of a former medical suite to create a modern, functional space designed to meet the specialized needs of children requiring developmental and behavioral care.
Project Details:
- Selective Demolition: We began the project by carefully removing interior walls, HVAC distribution lines, ceilings, millwork, flooring, and light fixtures within the existing medical suite, previously occupied by Stony Brook Family Medicine.
- Space Demising: The space was restructured by installing a demising wall to create two separate suites. This process included demising the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and gas systems to serve the newly created suite.
- Suite Construction: The new suite was constructed with attention to detail, ensuring the environment was both functional and welcoming. This included the installation of new wall partitions, a redesign of the fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, and modifications to the HVAC ductwork.
- Interior Finishes: To enhance the aesthetic and functionality of the space, we supplied and installed new ceilings, LED light fixtures, flooring, millwork, paint, and wall coverings.
Design for Special Needs:
The space was thoughtfully designed to accommodate children with special needs, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for both patients and their families.
