Marianne Alvarado
Chief Estimator
Marianne Alvarado serves as Chief Estimator at TRITEC Building Company, where she leads the firm's preconstruction estimating efforts and plays a critical role in establishing the financial foundation for successful projects. Since joining TRITEC in 2006, Marianne has developed hundreds of construction budgets across multifamily, commercial, medical, industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments, helping owners and project teams understand costs, evaluate feasibility, and make informed decisions throughout the development process.
In her role, Marianne oversees all aspects of estimating, from early conceptual budgets through detailed bid analysis and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submissions. She works closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams to evaluate design documents, identify scope requirements, analyze market conditions, and ensure that project budgets accurately reflect the full scope of work. Her ability to translate incomplete or evolving design concepts into clear and reliable cost projections has made her a trusted resource throughout TRITEC's organization.
Over her two decades with the company, Marianne has helped refine and standardize TRITEC's estimating processes and budget development tools, improving efficiency, consistency, and the firm's ability to leverage historical cost data. Known for her attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and practical understanding of construction methods, she provides valuable guidance on project scope, constructability, value engineering, and cost management from the earliest stages of development.
Prior to joining TRITEC, Marianne worked for a New York City interior design firm, where she prepared construction drawings, specifications, and design details. This experience provided her with a strong understanding of design intent and documentation, which continues to inform her approach to estimating and project planning today.
Marianne is an active member of the Long Island Builders Institute and participates in LIBI's Women in Construction initiatives. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New York Institute of Technology.
