TRITEC acquired 135 Engineers Road, a 65,000 square foot industrial building in 2004. The purpose of the acquisition was to reposition the building from industrial to Class B office. TRITEC Building Company removed 10,000 sq.ft. of the building to meet Suffolk County waste discharge regulations and provide parking for office areas. Since that time the building is now connected to the sewage treatment plant and can accept both medical and pharmaceutical tenants
The building's renovation includes a new facade complete with a new insulated glass system, landscaping, and accent lighting. The building's interior features a natural stone tile accented by blue granite stripes and cherry wood doors. The building's circular core has a vibrant blue wall covering that is brought to life by a high-end lighting package. The lighting is made up of wall sconces, recessed lighting, and culminates in a chandelier located in the center of the core.
135 Engineers Road, located in Hauppauge Industrial Park, now called the Long Island Innovation Park, is just minutes from the Long Island Expressway. The park is home to 1,300 businesses and 55,000 employees, making it the largest office complex east of the Mississippi River and the second largest in the country.
