Assistant Field Superintendent

Prestigious Construction and Development Company is seeking an Assistant Field Superintendent to join our Team in Westchester, NY and play a vital role in overseeing the successful execution of complex construction projects. Responsibilities

• Assist the Field Superintendent in coordinating daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and safety protocols
• Supervise subcontractors and labor crews, providing clear direction and ensuring work is performed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Monitor project progress using construction management software such as ProCore and updating schedules and tracking milestones regularly
• Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify accuracy and facilitate smooth workflow on-site
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations (OSHA) and project specifications
• Manage site documentation including daily reports, incident logs, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders
• Support project budgeting efforts by tracking costs and assisting with construction estimating using HeavyBid or similar tools

Requirements

• The right candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Low-Rise to Mid-Rise Apartments, Mixed use Residential and Commercial industry.
• Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising construction sites and teams
• Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore
• Knowledge of contracts, project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment, testing tools like ohmmeters and familiarity with pipeline projects is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment
• Excellent management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering collaboration
• Construction site experience in diverse environments including infrastructure or pipeline projects is highly desirable

Supervises: Contractors

Location: Westchester, NY

5 days a week, Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm

Salary: $82,000 – $90,000
