East Setauket-based Tritec Real Estate will be the recipient of the Long Island Association’s Medal of Honor.
The annual award is given each year to companies that “significantly contribute to the region’s economic growth, creation of jobs and quality of life,” according to LIA spokesman Matthew Cohen.
Tritec is being recognized for its recent and ongoing mixed-use and residential development projects that have had a positive impact in Long Island communities such as Patchogue, Lindenhurst, Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma, and for its work in building the new Dealertrack headquarters in North Hills.
Past winners of LIA’s Medal of Honor include RXR Realty, AvalonBay Communities and Canon USA.
“We are truly honored to be receiving this award,” said Tritec principal Robert Coughlan. “Thank you to all of our partners, co-workers, contractors, vendors and friends for making this honor possible.”
The Medal of Honor award will be presented at the LIA’s Annual Awards Gala at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury on Friday, May 18.
