A Long Island food importing and distribution firm, Galil Foods, has purchased a 170,000-square-foot building in Hauppauge as part of a major expansion.
The acquisition price of the property at 45 Gilpin Ave. wasn’t disclosed, but real estate sources estimated it at about $13.5 million. The company will occupy about 130,000 square feet of the building, where existing tenants already occupy the remaining space.
Perna represented the buyer, while his Newmark Knight Frank colleagues Jack O’Connor, Chuck Tabone, Dan Gazzola and Dan Marcus represented seller Tritec Real Estate in the sales transaction.
