Kincora didn’t land the Loudoun Hounds minor league baseball team, but the mixed-use development will get another tourist draw Loudoun County officials have been rooting for for more than two years.
The Children’s Science Center Museum announced Tuesday its decision to establish a 50,000-square-foot museum at Kincora in Dulles after an extensive search of prospective locations. The museum, to include 33,000 square feet set aside for interactive exhibits and active visitor space, is expected to draw more than 300,000 visitors a year to the mixed-use development by Routes 28 and 7. The museum is expected to cost $40 million and is slated to open in 2019.
