At TRITEC, we do everything we can to create a safe work environment in the office, on the job site, and for our tenants and customers. Not only do we enforce the highest safety standards put in place by OSHA, but we also invest in training such as CPR, AED, and first aid. Emergencies can happen at any time, and we try our best to be prepared.
According to the American Heart Association, 90 percent of people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests die. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival. When cardiac arrest occurs, the heart stops beating suddenly. Blood and oxygen cannot reach different organs of the body, and it can be fatal. These first moments are the most vital for immediate CPR to work. With appropriate CPR, blood can continue pumping until medical help arrives.
By getting trained, our employees can save the life of a friend, family member, coworker, or even a stranger. Being trained can empower our employees and give them the confidence they need to identify and respond effectively to these emergencies inside and outside of the office.
