Senior Field Superintendent

Long Island based real estate investment and development platform with a 40+year track record of successfully acquiring, developing, constructing, financing, leasing, and managing real estate projects in the New York and DC metro areas.  Over the past decade, the company has acquired or developed real estate assets exceeding  $3 billion of real estate and maintains ownership interest in over 3.2 million square feet of commercial property.

The Senior Field Superintendent is responsible for managing the day-to-day field operations of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. This individual will lead on-site teams, coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors, and enforce all safety protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Oversight:

  • Oversee and manage all field operations, ensuring project schedules and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate construction activities with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Enforce quality control measures to ensure work meets specifications, standards, and contract requirements.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Supervise and mentor field staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to best practices.
  • Assign tasks to foremen and labor crews while providing guidance and problem-solving as needed.
  • Conduct daily and weekly site meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align teams.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with all OSHA, company, and industry safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and enforce safety procedures to minimize risks.
  • Address and resolve any safety concerns or violations immediately.

Scheduling & Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the project manager.
  • Monitor and adjust work sequences to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Budget & Cost Control:

  • Assist in budget tracking and cost control by identifying potential cost savings and inefficiencies.
  • Minimize waste and optimize labor and material usage to stay within financial targets.
  • Approve subcontractor work and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Report to:  Project Executive / EVP, Construction

Supervises: Field Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents

Additional Information:

The Senior Field Superintendent is expected to perform duties in accordance with TRITEC’s policies and procedures, upholding the company’s commitment to quality, integrity, and teamwork. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management based on the needs of the department or organization.

Location: Long Island, NY

5 days a week, Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm

Salary: $150,000 – $160,000 ~ Exempt, not eligible for OT
