Real Estate Analyst – Ronkonkoma, NY

The Real Estate Analyst will oversee client reporting and complex financial analysis and/or financial reporting activities within our portfolio.

The Analyst will manage a broad range of complex financial analysis and/or financial reporting activities to measure profitability for a region, and large complex clients. Includes the management of such functions as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and management reporting process and work product. The position is responsible for all client reporting associated with our management team.

Main Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

· The Real Estate Analyst will report directly to the Vice President of Asset Management.
· Serves as a subject matter expert on all reporting and analytics within the department.
· Produce reporting and maintain data for clients with large real estate portfolios, covering commercial, multi-family and retail assets.
· Analyze results to monthly activities at the property and consolidated; provide drivers of results and variances.
· Prepare monthly client reporting, forecasting and budgeting information.
· Provide analysis reporting with management teams and client.
· Responsible for communicating month end, and quarterly reporting to clients and senior management.
· Coordinate with accounting on Yardi maintenance, table accuracy, chart of accounts, and ensure proper mapping.
· Prepare with operations team annual budgets and reporting for client.
· Report capital expenditure and record project financials and status reporting.
· Responsible to ensure department data accuracy and integrity.
· Manage special projects and ad hoc reporting, as required.
· Assist in preparing materials, compiling information and other special projects as required.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a business-related field.
· Requires a minimum of five years’ related experience in property accounting, analyst role with two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
· MBA [graduate degree] preferred but not required depending upon experience.
· Yardi experience required.
· Ability to analyze financial statements and reconcile source data.
· Ability to manage and reconcile high volumes of data from multiple sources.
· MS/Office experience required with a high level of expertise in Excel.
· Must have excellent oral, written and presentation skills to communicate effectively with peers, management, clients, and auditors.
· Ability to work independently, in a professional manner, with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Computer/Skills

· Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
· Experience working with: Yardi / MRI / RealPage Products
· Project Management platforms: Procore, Smartsheet, a plus

Salary Range: $105k – $115k
