The annual event, Taste of Patchogue, was held on May 25, 2016 on The Village Green at New Village at Patchogue and hosted by TRITEC Real Estate Company. This event, with nearly 1,200 attendees, boasted live music, tours of New Village, and samplings of cuisine from 14 local restaurants. What a wonderful way to kick off the summer months!

The Crisis Crayons provided a great musical accompaniment to all of the tasty cuisine provided by local restaurants including: Arooga’s, Del Fuego, Hoshi, The Tap Room, Pera Bell, Public House 49, That Meetball Place, Bobbique, Bierhaus Patchogue, Ristegio’s, Mac & Melts, South Ocean Grill, Toro Tapas, Blue Point Brewery and Noodles and Company; no one left the festival hungry.

Events such as, Taste of Patchogue are great for residents of New Village, the Village of Patchogue, and local businesses; it develops a connection which helps strengthen this community and makes it prosper. The event was open to all and required a $10 donation to raise money for the Patchogue Neighbors INN, which runs five local soup kitchens. Donations totaled $13,700.00 from ticket sales and the basket raffle put on by Fishbat, a local Patchogue Marketing company. Susan Kahl, President of the Patchogue Neighbors INN said, “These soup kitchens are open five different days a week and serve a hot meal at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Approximately 1250 guest are served each month; doors are open to everyone. The donation from this fundraiser will cover all costs of operation for 4 – 6 months. This is HUGE!”

In addition, people from all over Long Island were able to experience what Patchogue Village has to offer! This event will continue to be an annual success for TRITEC, New Village, and the greater community.
