Western Suffolk Boces at Republic Airport

Western Suffolk BOCES decided to locate an educational facility at Republic Airport BOCES relied on TRITEC Development Group and TRITEC Building Company to secure the site, and construct their new facility This facility was constructed as a Design Build project on the grounds of Republic Airport to provide a hanger and classroom space for airplane maintenance students. The building also includes lab space complete with an overhead bridge crane.

Administrative offices were also built inside the 24,000 sq. ft. facility for faculty and building support services.

BOCES chose the Design Build method for project delivery to have a single point of accountability and be able to accelerate their schedule. Employing Fast-track options facilitated by the Design Build contract allowed BOCES to meet tight time constraints and have the facility completed in June 2000.
