Kincora Safety Center

On April 19, 2011 the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved the contract for a new fire station located at the intersection of Nokes Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard in the Kincora development, Dulles Election District, Loudoun County, Virginia. The Kincora development team has hired TRITEC Building Company, Inc. and Turner Construction to lead a design build team comprised of Polleo Group, LeMay Erickson Willcox Architects, Urban Ltd., Haynes Whaley Associates, and KTA Group.

The four bay fire station is located on approximately five acres at the entrance to the Kincora mixed-use development. The building includes apparatus bays as well as shared spaces for operations, community room, fitness and residential areas. The building consist of approximately 17,500 gross square feet and has room for a future expansion to five apparatus bays.

TRITEC Construction Consulting Services was engaged by the Owner to perform oversight of a third party Design Build contract. Acting as an Agency Construction Manager TRITEC’s services included coordination between Owners Master Planner, Civil Engineer and Design-Builder. Confirmation of compliance with Design-Build documents, Master Plan and County criteria. Monthly requisition review and invoice assembly from Owner to County. Coordination of all Utility easements and agreement with the individual Utility Companies and coordination with install and Design-Builder schedule.
